Bachelor of Arts from Carson Newman College (1963);
Master’s and PhD from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth (1965, 1974)

Alice joined our staff in January, 2005, coming to us after serving at Gardner-Webb University for 30 years in the Department of Religious Studies and Philosophy as professor of Religion and Religious Education. She has also served both full-time or bi-vocationally as Minister or Music and/or Education for 35 years. She has written two books: Time for a Checkup: Examining our Progress in Spiritual Growth (Christian Literature Crusade), and Sorting it Out: Understanding God’s Call to Ministry (Judson Press). She has also written four devotional books: Rose Petals: Devotions from the Life and Lips of Jesus, Rose of Sharon; Gems from James; The Blessed Life; and Peter Principles. The books are available at amazon.com, and the devotional books are available from Alice or the associational office.
