Scouting for Hope:

An Evening for Family & Friends to Share Hope after the Loss of a Child
Friday, October 1, 2010
7:30 PM, First Baptist Church, Shelby, NC
Keynote Speaker: Angie Smith, Nashville, TN

This October, in recognition of Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month (http://www.october15th.com/), First Baptist Church of Shelby, NC will host a community-wide event to provide support and hope to families who have lost children via miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant death. The event will feature keynote speaker, Angie Smith. Angie is the author of I Will Carry You: The Sacred Dance of Grief and Joy, and wife of Selah singer, Todd Smith. Angie has a popular blog, The Story of Audrey Caroline (http://audreycaroline.blogspot.com/), which inspired her to write her book. Selah also released a track entitled “I Will Carry You (Audrey’s Song)” on their album, You Deliver Me. This event will serve as a time of music, prayer, sharing, and inspiration for families and individuals who have been touched by the loss of a child. Scouting for Hope aims to promote awareness of the pregnancy and infant loss that many families experience alone, and ultimately to provide an uplifting reminder that when we join together to ‘scout’ for hope, we will surely find it in Jesus.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
